Ensure consistency in all address data, across your organisation through the use of the UPRN
One of the key strengths to the NLPG is the use of the Unique Property
Reference Number (UPRN), which is attached to every single entry. Since
no UPRN can ever be used twice (even when a property is destroyed), you
can be assured of no duplication of addresses.
Within your address database there
might be numerous Primrose Cottages
or No. 1, High Street, but there will only
ever be one UPRN assigned to each, which guarantees your accuracy.
Since Symphony Bluelight Search can
give every department in an organisation
access to the NLPG, through the use of
the UPRN, each user can be assured that
with every search, they are consistently
referencing the same property.
When mismatched data can put lives in
danger, it is the UPRN that can make all
the difference.
- Ensures that reports on an incident
are recorded against the correct
property
- Ensures that the correct
information about an incident
location is forwarded to Firefighters
e.g. chemicals, fireworks factories
- Allows for better interdepartmental
working
- Aids in strategic planning through
consistent working
- Allows for joined up working and
the sharing of data with external
organisations such as county councils
or other emergency services
