Central and consistent, organisation-wide access to location data
The life and death nature of the work within the Emergency Services
means, more than virtually all other organisations, the delivery of efficient
services is essential.
In the case of the National Land and
Property Gazetteer (NLPG) the Fire
Service and Police have access via the
Mapping Services Agreement (MSA)
to this complete, standardised source
of address data, which each local
authority is legally obliged to keep up
to date.
Alternatively there are the addressing
products from the Ordnance Survey
such ADDRESS-POINT® and OS MasterMap® Address Layer
2 that come with the assurance gained
from long term development and use in
the Emergency Services.
With these different datasets available
there is no longer any need to have
different departments each maintaining
their own address and location data.
Not only is it a tremendous waste
of manpower, but can lead to huge
inconsistencies in organisational data.

Symphony Bluelight Search gives all
departments access to the same,
consistent data and in doing so reduces
costs, reduces the risk of errors caused
by inconsistent data and ultimately
allows you to offer a safer, more efficient
and higher level of service to the public.
Do you have a question about Symphony Bluelight Search? If so, just ask...
