With new licensing models now available, the most definite address data source available in the UK is now both cost-effective and easily available to Housing Associations.

The National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) is the authoritative, national address list that provides unique identification of land and property and conforms to BS7666 (2006). The NLPG is updated on a continual basis by every local authority in England and Wales - the bodies with statutory responsibility for street naming and numbering, with updates available every working day.

The use of the NLPG has tremendous benefits to Housing Association including:

Unique Property Reference Numbers (UPRN) for compliance with the NROSH
Use of the UPRN for liasing with local authorities and the emergency services
Use of the NLPG's geographical coordinates for geospatial enabling
