  New version of the Symphony Gazetteer announced

Aligned Assets is pleased to announce version 2.5 of its flagship product, the Symphony Gazetteer. The Symphony Gazetteer is an innovative, enterprise solution for the maintenance of Street, Land and Property gazetteers.

This is a major release which includes new functionality such as a Browser pane, an Export wizard and full integration with Oracle 9i. There have also been significant improvements made to the speed of the Search function and enhancements to the Import and Export processes. Please see below for details:

New Functionality

  • New Browser pane. When opening a new map layer you have the option of changing the “Preferred view” to be Browser.

  • New Query > Select and Query > SQL Select options from the Tools menu to call the MapInfo Select and SQL Select dialogs. These selections will also open in the new browser pane.

  • New Export wizard to include the ability to export a “Selection” of records.

  • Additional view “LLPG Postal Address” has been added to the Symphony Gazetteer database. This view may then be opened in MapInfo by users throughout the organisation similar to Address-Point.

  • Ability to search by ESU id and application Cross Reference.

  • Copy USRN and UPRN added to the Street and Property context menus respectively.

  • MapInfo Find tool added to the Map context menu.

  • Import and Export of ODB (Operational District Batch) files in the ASD module.

  • Ability to select to export LLPG data in Title case.
