  Recruitment Drive at Aligned Assets

Aligned Assets has recruited two new staff to strengthen its position as a leading supplier of gazetteer management and eGovernment solutions to Local Authorities in the UK. These appointments reflect the company’s continued commitment towards is current clients and its desire to build on its recent success,  which has seen it take a 10% share of the Local Authority market.

 

Claire Harkin joins Aligned Assets as Professional Services Consultant with responsibility for BS7666 consultancy and training for clients both on and off site. Claire will also be responsible for keeping the company fully acquainted with BS7666, DTF, LLPG, NSG and ASD guidelines and legislation.   Previously employed for 2 years within the GIS department at Bolton Council working on their LLPG (Local Land and Property Gazetteer) and LAMP (Local Authority Modernisation Programme) work, Claire has a Geography degree from Manchester University.

 

Mike Larkin joins the sales team at Aligned Assets fresh from university as a trainee sales executive. Mike has spent the last 4 years at Manchester Metropolitan University studying Geographical Information Science during which he spent 10 months with Rochdale MBC as a GIS Assistant helping with the compilation of their LLPG, dealing with general GIS queries and web mapping administration.

 

The Symphony Gazetteer Management system from Aligned Assets has been designed to enable Local Authorities to easily create and maintain both their Local Land and Property Gazetteers and their Local Street Gazetteers along with updates to the national hubs. The Symphony Suite of products then goes further enabling other systems within a Local Authority to use the gazetteers either through direct linking or file exchange to facilitate eGovernment.
