Aligned Assets can today announce that it has signed a deal that will see its Symphony Suite software used by the new FiReControl project.
They will be working within a consortium including IMASS and EADS, controlled by the department of Communities and Local Government that will see the streamlining of the existing mobilisation system of fire and rescue control rooms into nine new amalgamated Regional Control Centres (RCC).
Aligned Assets’ Commercial Director Phil Gee spoke recently about the deal, “We as a company are very proud to be involved in such an important national project. Our system is at the very core of the mobilisation process and will enable the FiReControl project to utilise the latest information from the National Land and Property Gazetteer. This system is one step in a process that enables integration of cross government information systems on a grand scale, harmoniously integrating local and central government with the end-user.”
Currently used by over 70 local authorities, the British Transport Police and Transport for London, Aligned Assets’ Symphony Suite will allow the fire and rescue services access to the ‘super gazetteer’ known as the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG).
This national hub of address data is the most accurate and up-to-date in the country allowing the precise locating of an incident and the identification of the closest appropriate fire and rescue resources.
In addition, through Aligned Assets’ Symphony Suite, the fire and rescue services will be able to feed information back to the national hub, which in turn can be passed onto local authorities, keeping the data perpetually updated.
