Q. Does Symphony iExchange only work for users of the Symphony Suite?
A. No, Symphony iExchange can be used by anyone as a standalone product.
Q. Which types of data will it work with?
A. Symphony iExchange has been designed to work with English and Welsh Councils' Local Land and Property Gazetteers (LLPG), Scottish Councils' Corporate Address Gazetteers (CAG), the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) and any of the AddressBase products.
Q. Do I have to pay for each system that I link to?
A. Absolutely not. Symphony iExchange has a set price, which will not change if you're linking to one system or 100 systems. iExchange is designed to help you gain in efficiency and save money, so we don't believe in limiting your use through restrictive pricing.
Q. I want to use Symphony iExchange to link to a system you haven't mentioned. Is this possible?
A. Yes. Most of the systems that iExchange can currently link with are the result of requests by customers. Just ask us about a system and we can make the necessary adaptions.
Q. Each person I want to export information to requires it at different times. Is this possible?
A. Yes. Every recipient can be configured uniquely.
Q. Each person I want to export to requires different sub-sets of the information. Is this possible?
A. Yes. Every recipient can be configured uniquely.
Q. Once set up, what else do I need to do?
A. Nothing. iExchange will continue to automatically export your data until you instruct it otherwise. 'Set it and forget it'
Q. What are XML and DTF?
A. XML stands for Extensible Markup Language and DTF stands for Data Transfer Format. Both are nationally and internationally recognised standards which allow for systems to 'speak the same language'.
Q. How do I get started?
A. Please contact us and one of our sales team will be in touch.
