To further enhance the use of Associated Street Data (ASD) data,
we have released ASD Plus, which contains additional features beyond those in ASD.
It contains extra display features
to make the visualisation of your ASD
data much simpler and user-friendly,
whilst the addition of Type 64 and Type
65 records gives your ASD significantly
more value.
ASD Plus not only makes working with
your data an easier experience, but
offers your partners in highways, the
utilities and the emergency services a
wealth of additional, useful information.

ASD Plus gives the user numerous options to edit your map display in order to style all your ASD data however you choose.

ASD Plus - Benefits
ASD Plus has numerous benefits but the two main ones come from the users ability to create and maintain Type 64 (height, width & weight) & Type 65 (one way exemption) records, and all of the ASD Plus enhanced display features.
Adding Type 64 & Type 65 Records
Though not currently compulsory, Type 64 & Type 65 records supply a wealth of additional information that highways, the
utilities and the emergency services can make use of.
With the ever changing standards and the increase in demands from NSG end users, it is very likely that the inclusion of Type 64 and Type 65 records in local street gazetteers will become compulsory in the future.
A change in standards can cause considerable issues as working practices need altering and there is a rush to meet the stringent deadlines. Naturally therefore, any authority that is 'ahead of the game' is going to have a distinct advantage. Its ASD Plus that gives this advantage.
Enhance ASD Display
Key to ASD Plus is the enhanced display features that give the user the ability to assign different colours, patterns and line widths to ALL types of ASD data for easy spatial visualisation.

Once the styling has been selected and the layer turned on, then the selected ASD Data becomes visible in the map pane.

In ASD Plus, different stylings are attributed to ESUs so its possible to see exactly which part of a street the ASD data is associated with. This becomes particularly significant with Type 65 One Way Exemptions or in the case of above when the Type 64 Height Restriction applies only to part of the street.
