Q. Why do I need to perform address matching?
A. Variations in address data can lead to errors, which in turn can lead to operational inefficiencies and poor customer service. Address matching not only removes this possibility through the addition of the UPRN, but other useful information can also be added.
Q. How do I use Symphony iMatch for addressing matching?
A. In simple terms you firstly run iMatch in automatic mode that will match the majority of records. The addresses that remain can be matched using the interactive mode when iMatch will show the closest match and allow the user to accept, reject or ignore.
Q. Why is address cleansing so important?
A. All address data will begin to lose integrity over time as buildings are demolished, property names are changed etc. Address cleansing is a method of ensuring that all these changes are recognised and corrected.
