Q. Who is Symphony SinglePoint useful for?
A. Symphony SinglePoint will be useful to any organisation that requires a fast way to retrieve data.
Q. Is there a limit to what Symphony SinglePoint can search?
A. In theory there is no limit to Symphony SinglePoint's search facility. Although it was originally designed to search databases, the method by which it indexes files allows it to even search Word Documents, Spreadsheets and PDFs.
Q. How fast is Symphony SinglePoint?
A.The speed with which Symphony SinglePoint can return results depends on the number of gazetteers that are being search concurrently, as well as the speed of the system it is running on. However, in tests for the British Transport Police, response times for a 32 million NLPG record search is sub-second
Q. What are adapters?
A. Adaptors are the technology that allows for additional gazetteers to be plugged-in and searched by Symphony SinglePoint
Q. As a local authority, why would I want the option to search both the LLPG and one of the AddressBase products?
A. Because there will always be a delay between the updating of your LLPG and the updating of AddressBase, your LLPG will always be the most accurate data you have. That is why Symphony SinglePoint allows you to search just your LLPG.
Q. How do I get started?
