Our solutions for the housing sector were developed in coordination with Cardiff Council, who approached us with a requirement to design and build a new property and asset management system. Their legacy system was acknowledged as being outdated and from their list of requirements, we created their current solution - Symphony PMS.
We have expanded this solution to enable its use by all local authorities, housing associations and the private sector. |
Local Authority Housing
Local authorities hold and manage large property estates ranging from
schools, leisure centres, social housing and parks not to mention investment
properties such as shops and industrial estates - even pubs. All of these are
necessary income earners for a local authority, yet all this land and property
requires vast management resources to run, let alone run efficiently.

Housing Associations

Working with local authorities
Housing associations, whether operating as independent bodies or as ALMOs (Arms Length Management Organisations), although distinct from local authorities, still retain a need to work very closely with them.
Every local authority will have their properties tagged with UPRNs, so having those UPRNs as a housing association will instantly enable a better level of joined up working.
Better internal working
Purely with regards internal working, the UPRN will also bring tremendous benefits and with property the life-blood of any housing association, the effective management of those properties is essential. For this reason, housing associations will be able to benefit from the UPRN with the assurance it gives that from the accountant, through to the plumber, they are all referencing the same property.
The UPRN gives all property a definitive accuracy, so for housing associations, anything that aids property management has got to be good.

Using AddressBase products for Property Management
As the country's definitive source of address data, the AddressBase products are ideally suited for proeprty management.
In addition to accurate, up to date addressing, the fact that each record throughout the AddressBase products are geocoded, it makes it ideally suited for use in GIS. This allows for greater analysis of housing stock, the identification of need and better use of demographic data.
Symphony SinglePoint gives access to the data via web services that can provide staff with a simple address look up tool or enable property management systems and CRMs to directly query the data.
Alternatively, Symphony PMS, our state of the art property management system, can come supplied with the AddressBase products pre-installed. This will not only give acess to the address data, but full management of your property portfolio.
