AddressBase Premium
AddressBase Premium provides a complete view of an address or property, including its full lifecycle from creation to retirement, all current addresses, alternative addresses, provisional properties and even historic property information where available.
Key to it is that each record contains a UPRN, which allows for an unprecedented level of accuracy in linking property data.
Synchronisation of Systems
In addition to locating incidents, the retrival of information about a specific location is crucially important. For example, the fire and rescue service need to know if a property is a fire works factory, whilst the police would require knowledge of fire arms licenses held at a property. In these instances, and many more, it is the UPRN that can ensure that precise, essential information from a variety of departmental systems will be accessible and accurate.
There are two methods by which all departments can start taking advantage of UPRNs: populating their systems with data from AddressBase Premium or using web services to call address data when required.
If the decision is to populate the systems, an emergency service can use components in Symphony Bluelight to first synchronise each systems' data with AddressBase Premium. Once this is done, Symphony Bluelight can be used to update those systems so that whenever there is a change in AddressBase Premium, these changes will be automatically exported throughout the organisation.
If the decision is to use web services to allow organisation-wide access to AddressBase Premium then Symphony SinglePoint is the most efficient method of doing so. Not only does Symphony SinglePoint give all departments access to the UPRN, but importantly, by using AddressBase Premium, these departments will no longer be required to pay licensing fees to third party suppliers of address data.
