On 2 and 9 October, we hosted our two User Group meetings, bringing LLPG/LSG custodians and AddressBase Premium managers together in London and Leeds to share learning, network and hear about developments from both Aligned Assets and our partners, GeoPlace, Ordnance Survey and Cadcorp.
With over 75 people attending one of the events, we had great representation from Local Authorities, Fire and Rescue Services and the Police. Stu King from the Networked Fire Service Partnership gave a compelling presentation on how using 118 Business Names had helped them reduce call times due to searches for the correct business address resulting first time in most cases. This has led to reduced response times, and increased efficiency within the Command and Control Centre. You can read their full case study here.
We also heard from Olivia Powell – Avon and Somerset Police in London, and Ben O’Hara – West Yorkshire Police in Leeds, both of whom took us on a complex journey through the various routes an individual may take, either as someone committing a crime or as a victim of crime, and how correct address information plays a critical central role.
They were both great days for shared learning and networking, as Peter Marsh from Arun District Council commented:
‘I really enjoyed hearing all the speakers and it is great to get chance to chat to other Symphony users. Always interesting to hear how we all do things so differently!’
We’d like to thank all those who attended, with special thanks to those who provided such interesting and valuable contributions.
