Despite being the source of address updates and the allocation of UPRNs, local authorities are still faced with the challenge of ensuring other users and systems align their address records to the gazetteer, to ensure consistency across the whole organisation. This linking of systems through accurate address data is critical for efficiency, enabling improved delivery of services and more accurate billing.
If you’re already using our LLPG/LSG gazetteer, iManage, our matching and cleansing solution, iMatch, will match against that. If not, then we’d match against AddressBase Premium. Either way, it uses the Unique Property Reference Numbers (UPRNs) to match and cleanse the data, allocating any UPRNs that are missing from the source dataset. By allocating the geo coordinates, it allows any department’s data to be viewed spatially.

Our newly developed iMatch Advanced is an additional capability that will deliver matching at ultimate speed. Developed for a project with national address coverage, it’s capable of matching 50 million addresses in 10 hours, achieving very high levels of matching depending on the quality of data provided.
This ultimate speed is achieved by eliminating any user interface and uses multiple servers to parallel process the matching. This is the product for any large scale, organisation-wide matching needs.

You just choose the potential match and then accept, ignore, reject or log any issues found. This enables complete control over the quality of data on an address by address basis.
Once a match is complete, simply export the results of the match back to the source system for address cleansing. The match results will contain the UPRN from the match, the matched BS7666 address and the original address from the source system.
