iExchange is the data sharing module for both our LLPG and LSG local authority gazetteer (iManage) and our AddressBase Premium gazetteers for emergency services and energy and water utilities (Bluelight). It enables address changes in the central gazetteer to be reflected in any other system within an organisation. iExchange works by monitoring the gazetteer for changes and then sending these via files in BS7666 format to the recipient systems. This is essential to ensure all systems within an organisation have the same up-to-date, accurate and consistent addresses, and is vital for operational efficiency.
Tailoring what’s shared by using filters
iExchange enables as many recipient systems to stay synchronised as required. The changes fed to the recipient system can be tailored by applying filters and transformations to the addresses that are sent. The filters can be based on numerous criteria such as spatial area or type of address as defined by the BS7666 classification.
Managing output frequency
The output frequency can be set in iExchange for each recipient system, as well as the transfer media and mechanism such as email, network location or ftp.
Examples of recipient systems
iExchange can be set up for systems from Idox, Civica, Steria, Capita, 3TC, Airbus, DEF, Infoshare, Hexagon, Northgate, Agile Applications, Arcus Global and Esri.
These include, but are not restricted to, systems for planning, revenues and benefits systems in local authorities.
For the emergency service, they could include command and control, computer aided dispatch, fire prevention and protection and criminal investigation systems.
For the utilities, their CRM, maintenance and billing systems.
