Our Street Naming and Numbering module (SNN) conforms to the national guidance on this process, using the internationally recognised conventions derived from the British Standard for addressing BS7666. This is the ultimate street naming and numbering tool allowing a local authority to record and manage street naming and numbering applications for their area. This includes the original logging of an application and the automatic sending of correspondence from the acknowledgement letter with the case reference number to the on-going approvals and notifications that occur during the life cycle of a case.
SNN web service
Our recently launched SNN web service takes this solution to another level of efficiency, enabling a link from your website direct to your SNN solution via the web service. With staff and the public able to submit their SNN applications direct online, all manual processes will be eliminated.
Our SNN solution is available with or without the web service, however the fully integrated product will maximise efficiency and consistency of data.
Reducing manual input
The Street Naming and Numbering module also reduces manual entering of data, therefore increasing consistency and accuracy of data produced for automated emails, document templates and close integration with the LLPG gazetteer. This is greatly enhanced by the implementation of the SNN web service.
Configurable workflow
The Street Naming and Numbering module has an in-built workflow engine that can be configured to conform to the individual conventions and processes of each local authority.
Automatic mail-merge
Document templates can be created to enable automated correspondence to be sent to any interested party for an application, including applicants, approvers and persons and organisations to be notified.
Integration with LLPG gazetteer
Lookup data such as postcodes, wards, parishes, existing streets and properties are all taken directly from the council’s iManage LLPG gazetteer, ensuring accuracy and consistency, as well as eliminating the need to maintain reference data. New properties can also be electronically transferred directly to the gazetteer saving considerable time.
Management information on KPIs
The street naming and numbering process can be broken down into multiple steps, each of which can have a target time for completion. The system will indicate whether these targets are being met.
Centralisation of case documentation
Any correspondence sent, received or of relevance to an application can be stored in a central repository created by the system.
Conforms to BS7666
The new guidelines for street naming and numbering officers state that street and property information is stored according to British Standard BS7666, complete with the Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN), Unique Street Reference Number (USRN) and geographic coordinates. Our Street Naming and Numbering module enforces this.
Create a range of properties for new developments
The module has a wizard that allows a range of properties to be created for a new development. This dramatically speeds up the process and minimises data entry errors.
Multi-edit for properties
Our multi-edit feature allows the same changes to be made across multiple properties, again saving time and ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Audit trail of case events
Any change or addition to a street naming and numbering case is logged and is available for viewing should the need arise.
