Our Xtended Data Manager (XDM) allows anyone who uses our BS7666 gazetteers (iManage or Bluelight) to add extra data that isn’t included in the British Standard against a land or property record using the UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number). The data to be added can be configured by the organisation using the gazetteer so it is tailored to their exact needs. We have also created data templates for the emergency services to hold location intelligence relating to threats to staff, vital information about the occupants of a property and important details about the location and accessibility of the property.
Sharing the extra data
Once data is held in the Xtended Data Manager, it can be shared across an organisation in much the same way as streets and properties held in the gazetteer. It can be returned as part of an address search using SinglePoint and sent to operational systems using iExchange. An organisation can then achieve all the efficiencies and benefits of up-to-date, consistent and accurate data that our products bring to the use of streets, properties and their addresses.
Available templates
Configurable template – Users can add their own tables and fields to suit the specific requirements of their organisation
Spatial data template – Users can add spatial data in the form of polygons. Xtended Data Manager will automatically flag that a property exists within a boundary via XDM. Examples of this are flood plains, administrative areas, police beat areas, fire, police or ambulance station coverage, demographic regions.
Fire risk template – Fire and Rescue services can use a data template that holds property related risks, information related to occupants and location specific data, such as storage of chemicals, explosives, dangerous animals, etc
Police critical marker template – Police forces can use a data template that holds critical markers against a property such as the presence of a fire arm licence, a vulnerable person, etc.
Ambulance hazards template – Ambulance services can use a data template to give them similar information to that of fire and police, but also additional information related to the medical condition of occupants and other categories such as Community Care Pathway, End of Life and whether the occupant is a frequent or hoax caller.
Energy utility template – Energy companies can use a data template that holds property related intelligence including risks, such as the presence of dangerous animals, information related to occupants and location specific data such as access restrictions.
Water utility template – Water utility companies can use a data template that enables them to record the Water Supply Zone, District Meter Area, Waste Supplier / Receiver and Waste Catchment areas.
Bespoke templates – If none of the above suits your requirements, we can create bespoke templates specifically for your purposes.
